John Stewart experiences a surreal dream/vision where he confronts ghosts from his past, including his parents, his murdered grandparents, and past family members. The issue features the return of the deceased Green Lantern Ch'p, who warns John about lingering inner darkness ("the red"). Appa Ali Apsa (the Old Timer/Guardian) guides John through visions, including a burning structure reflecting Katma Tui's world, before John ultimately awakens back on Oa.
