Steel #3, published in April 1994, is an early issue from the character's first ongoing solo series written by Louise Simonson with art by Jon Bogdanove. It follows former weapons designer John Henry Irons as he fights street-level crime and criminal syndicates using his self-built, Superman-inspired armor.
